Have you ever taken cooked spaghetti noodles and tried to curl them? It doesn't work. They don't want to be curled and they will resist with a passion. So it is with the hair in this family. What, then, do we do with hair that is about as malleable as cooked spaghetti? We plait, of course! Happy are we, finally! "Long live braids and may they never fall out of favor," is my prayer.

In case you can't see it, the bun has a braid on top of a braid.
Happy Easter!

Modern March Bride
I loved getting in on the wedding excitement starting at 6 am! Peitra chose to go with a more natural wavy style, which completely looked the part with her dress; it also fit in with the surroundings at her reception at Cactus & Tropicals.
Gorgeous bride and gorgeous event!

French Hat
My niece told my daughter she looked like she was wearing a French Hat. :)

Bless Her Heart!
My cute niece had to catch an early flight in the morning. We braided her hair and oiled it so it would stay neat, hopefully, for the next 36 hours at least.
I had to take this photo in the dark because she was so tired we let her get up from the chair and fall on her face onto bed. Bless her heart(s)!

Glamour Day
This is how moms play dress up--use an upcoming wedding as an excuse to try out different ideas on each other. (Oh, and the kids had fun playing together too!)
I bet you'd never guess that right after we finished her hair, she went outside and picked up dog poop. Yes, real moms do unglamorous duties, sometimes even when wearing a dress and heels--and fancy updos. Kudos to all the mothers!

Curlformers--they work!
Fabulous for no heat curls. Gets those pesky ends where they belong. (And the after picture was taken at 4 in the afternoon when I had finished all of my errands and meetings.) Curls are still there in my cooked spaghetti textured hair!
